What a great day we had at our first NE Cup invitational tournament held at Hank Soar. A total of 12 teams from Boston, Southern New England (CT), and Providence in 2 Divisions (iPRIDE & ASANA). You could feel the camaraderie and love throughout the entire complex. Seeing nothing but smiles, laughter, and friendly LGBTQ+ competition made all the hard work that went into this so very worthwhile. Thank you to all our participants, fans, and umpires for making this a truly special event.

That being said, here are our Division winners:

Shout out to the other tournament committee members RCSL Treasurer, Paul Dean (PVD), BSL Commissioner, Briana Dougherty (BOS), BSL Asst. Commissioner, Freddy Lee (BOS), SNEFSL Commissioner, Calvin Interiano (SNE), and SNEFSL Athletic Director, Ben Toro (SNE).

Special thanks to RCSL Assistant Commissioner, Jim Gilligan for all your help throughout the day from 6AM until just past 6PM.

Also a big thank you to RCSL Secretary, Liz Giglio - Kearns and RCSL Events & Marketing Director, Shannon Giglio-Kearns for providing us with Bugged Out BBQ food truck, the DJ, and Liz’s cousin, Cheryl, to help work concession sales of breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and RCSL merchandise.

Thank you to my baby sis from another mama & papa, Deanna DeFrancesco and her hubby, Andy DeFrancesco for working the 50/50 Raffle (raising a $400 pot!) and helping out with concession sales.

Finally, to our own young lady Ariana Paiva and her mom Alicia Paiva, thank you once again for offering snacks and waters for sale to benefit the Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter!

Looking forward to building off this success to make next year’s New England Cup Invitational bigger and better!
